I have been lucky enough to call Halifax County, North Carolina my home for over 35 years, although I grew up in Northern Virginia where I visit often, but am still glad to call Lake Gaston home!

My husband and purchased a lot on Lake Gaston in the South East Quadrant, prior to building our home. First we built a boathouse and then we hung a swing. Swinging and looking out at the breathtaking views of the lake, I said to my husband, "This is what it is all about!" So, we built our home on Lake Gaston. Now, after work I get to go home and it feels like I'm on vacation. It's a tough job but someone has to do it!

We are now enjoying the empty nest, but look forward to frequent visits with our family and friends. Cooking and boat riding are my favorite things to do. And what better way to visit friends than by boat? . Sometimes we gather to watch the sunset or just go for an evening cruise. We truly live a blessed life.
